Turks and Caicos International Artist Stanley Roots
With cool vibes and hot rhythm, Stanley Roots plays the latest reggae tunes with the most melodic Roots, Rock Steady Reggae and smooth Hip Hop/R&B around. Stanley Roots has been entertaining audiences for some time now with polished and exciting performances. His eight piece band comprised of international musicians from throughout the Caribbean.
Stanley Roots kicks rhythm for the multi-cultural audiences that pack bars, nightclubs and arenas throughout the United States and the Caribbean. Along with performing their outdoor concerts to audiences of thousands, the band has shared the stage with such artists as Alicia Keys, John Legend, LL Cool J, Air Supply, GQ, R&B singer “Joe”, Douggie Fresh and 10,000 Maniacs. Some other notable performances include playing for then first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton at a retreat in Princeton, NJ. They also played on the capitol grounds in Albany, New York entertaining 50,000 Union Members for 3 hours. His band of reggae music artists once traveled to Baltimore, Maryland to the convention center to entertain 12,000 supporters of then presidential candidate, Howard Dean. Stanley Roots has appeared on the TV show “Good Day New York” and the NYC Channel 11 show “Rolanda”. Stanley Roots also played an outdoor New Years Eve concert at the famous ELBO ROOM in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The prominent owners of the ELBO, the Penrod family, had Las Olas Blvd blocked off in what was an extravaganza of music with Stanley Roots headlining for over 10,000 delirious fans.
Stanley's musical accomplishments have allowed him to take his place among the great reggae singers of this era. His latest album “Colours of One” is currently available on iTunes and CDBaby. The album was debuted at the Turks & Caicos Music Festival in Provo in 2006. Since the debut of “Colours of One”, distribution has extended beyond the United States to countries such as Japan, Austria, Portugal, Germany, England, Canada and Czech Republic.
